Power BI 2: Working With Various Data Sources

One unique feature of Power BI is the ability to create reports from multiple data sources. This training focuses on this function of Power BI, which allows the user to take convoluted data sets and clean them up, turn them into data models, and create charts or graphs to provide visuals for the data.

Using Excel can be difficult when inputting a lot of data. Power BI uses short cuts to fix and change information that otherwise would be difficult to figure out. Both Excel tables and Excel normalized spreadsheets can be modified through Power BI. The online course takes the trainee through a pre-recorded screen share to illustrate how to work with data from a number of sources, including Excel, websites, PDF files, CSV files, and Access databases.
