Diversity: Age and Physical Ability Workplace Issues

There are over 43 million Americans living with disabilities. From this statistic, there is a chance someday you will share a workplace with an employee who is disabled. It is important to remember part of diversity is valuing all people with differing perspectives and experiences, despite their differences. This training course shows us that we all benefit from a work environment that values and respects all employees, regardless of their physical ability or age.

Within this course, you’ll learn about the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and how it protects the disabled from workplace discrimination. You will become more aware of any stereotypes or fears you may have regarding those different from you. Honoring differences and using respectful language is also discussed. Overall, this training emphasizes the importance of respecting and honoring diversity in the workplace.
