New Training on HIPAA Rules and Compliance

This month we released a new course, featuring HD video, called "HIPAA Rules and Compliance." This course provides an in-depth look at the Health Insurance and Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

The course covers topics including covered entities, PHI and patients’ rights, use and disclosure of PHI, using PHI for marketing and fundraising, the HIPAA Security Rule, and breach notification and penalties.

Exposure to excessive amounts of silica dust can be harmful to one’s health. "Crystalline Silica Employee Training," released this month, demonstrates the safe work practices needed to help employees prevent exposure to silica dust.

Topics covered in the course include characteristics and properties of crystalline silica, effects of exposure, regulations, engineering controls, work practice controls, respiratory protection, Table 1 of the Construction Regulation, and exposure response.

Prevent lung cancer and silicosis by training employees who work around crystalline silica on proper safety procedures.
